Awesome New Trailer For Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Machete Kills’

It’s finally here!

So many of us have been waiting to see the early footage of director Robert Rodriguez’s highly anticipated sequel to his 2010 masterpiece ‘Machate’. And now the new trailer has hit the internet in a big way.

Machete is based on an original character that Rodriguez created in a fake trailer for his film ‘Planet Terror’ back in 2007. Planet Terror was half of a planned ‘Grindhouse’ double bill feature Rodriguez made with frequent collaborator Quentin Tarantino, that ran too long and the films were subsequently divided into 2 separate segments. ‘Death Proof’ starring Kurt Russell made up Tarantino’s half, along with other fake trailers by other genre director’s Rob Zombie and Eli Roth.

‘Machete’ is the first of those fake trailers to go feature length and now has a sequel with an amazing cast of characters including Lady Gaga, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, William Sadler and Cuba Gooding Jr. and of course Danny Trejo returns as the title character Machete.

But you never know what could happen in the future. Rob Zombie recently admitted this on Facebook about his own fake trailer for the Grindhouse movies:

Boy, I wish we made this film. Here is the extended ‘WEREWOLF WOMEN OF THE SS’ trailer! Maybe some day, but I doubt it.

~Rob Zombie~

We wish you had too Rob!

Alright, enough about that, here’s the new trailer for… MACHETE KILLS!!!
