by  |  May 1st, 2012  |  Blog

Since the reign of the Universal Monster movies, horror movies had been getting a steadily larger and larger fan base!  Now the 1980s saw the height of this wave, with such films as The Return Of The Living Dead (1985), and The Prowler (1981). etc…

Now a particularly popular sub-genre of horror movie in the 1980s, was the, ‘Slasher’ exploitation sub-genre of movies.  For those of you who don’t know what Slasher movies are… Slasher movies are a type of exploitation sub-genre of horror movies that usually has to do with a crazy man or woman that slowly cuts his way through some sort of group (a popular slasher movie story line has to do with a crazy person going after the counselors of a summer camp, and yet another one has to do with a motel manager going after his guests!)

Since I am a huge fan of horror movies, and have seen a ton of truly awesome Slasher movies, I thought I would give

you horror fans, my, ‘Top 10 Slasher Movies Of The 1980s’
