According to: EW

Over the past few years, the plan has been to do the Marvel franchises, ‘Iron Man’, ‘The Incredible  Hulk’, ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ and, ‘Thor’ in such away so that they would tie in together to make the movie, The Avengers! And boy was that a successful plan!

What I mean by this is that not only did, The Avengers shoot ahead to the number #1 spot in this weekend’s box office, but in it’s initial projections it shot ahead in to the hundreds of millions, and we just found out that it not only shot ahead in it’s initial projections to $200.3 million in this weekend’s box office, but it actually shot ahead another $7.1 million, to end its opening weekend at $207.4 from the box office!

With the overwhelming nature that was the opening weekend for, The Avengers, it comes as no surprise that, Think Like A Man has taken the second place position, what with having pulled in $8 million in the box office this weekend.

At number 3 we got the sure fire classic in the movie, The Hunger Games.  Now The Hunger Games has continued to do real nicely in the box office, what with having pulled in a respectable $5.7 million in this weekend’s box office! At number 4, we got, The Lucky One.  Now, The Lucky One has continued to do respectably in the box office, what with having pulled in a respectable $5.5 million in the box office over the weekend! And last, but most certainly not least, we got, The Pirates! Band Of Misfits.  The Pirates! Band Of Misfits pulled in $5.4 million in this weekend’s box office!

In summation:

1. The Avengers = $207.4 Million

2. Think Like a Man = $8 Million

3. The Hunger Games = $5.7 Million

4. The Lucky One = $5.5 Million

5. The Pirates! Band of Misfits = $5.4 Million
