Weekend Box Office Report: Mission Accomplished For An Impossible Mission!

According To EW: 

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol… This highly anticipated fourth movie in the classic action packed series starring Tom Cruise (T.A.P.S.) Now this movie which also stars: Jeremy Renner (S.W.A.T.), Paula Patton (Jumping The Broom), Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire), Léa Seydoux (Robin Hood) and reprising their roles are, Ving Rhames (Zombie Apocalypse) as Luther Stickell, and Simon Pegg (Star Trek) as Benji…

Now this movie tells the story of how after the I.M.F. is implicated in the destruction of the Kremlin, and with the subsequent shut down of the organization, Ethan Hunt and his team end up going rogue in an effort to find out who did this and bring them to justice!

Well folks, there is some good news for the fans out there!

With Mission Impossible having pulled in a solid $26.5 million during the Holiday Weekend, it makes this movies mission to get to number #1 accomplished!

Now at number 2: We have the returning champions from last weekends box office, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, in, Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows. Now this movie ended up doing real nicely, having pulled in a solid $17.8 million in this weekend’s box office!

And at number 3: We got Alvin And The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.  Which at number 3 has continued to do rather nicely in the Theater having pulled in a very respectable, $13.3 million in this weekend’s box office! And at number 4 we got, the movie, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.  This movie did pretty nicely this weekend, having pulled in a respectable $13 million in this weekend’s box office!  At number 5 we got the movie, The Adventures Of Tintin. This movie for its opening weekend did nicely, having taken in $9.1 million in this weekends box office…

It looks like Ethan Hunt has gotten his christmas wish and has become King of the screen for this Christmas weekend!
