It’s looking like we are going to be saying bye bye to a Zombieland sequel, and hello to a Zombieland TV series…

That’s right folks, according to Vulture:

Zombieland (2009) a horror comedy starring Woody Harrelson (Rampart), Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), Emma Stone (Gangster Squad). It turns out that this movie had actually originally been intended for TV, but for various reasons it passed from hand to hand with a couple of different studios, which it turned out worked to the advantage of those who made the movie due to the fact that it became one of that years biggest sleeper hits!

It looks like there is some serious work in the direction of bringing back the piece from the big screen back to the small screen, with the writers who worked on the original show idea and ultimately ended up writing the movie, Rhett Reese (Deadpool) and Paul Wernick (Tarzan II) coming back to work on fleshing out a new script for the series.

Also working on getting this half hour series up and running is Fox Broadcasting and Sony Pictures Television…
