A scene from the movie, 'Battleship'

That’s right folks, according to Starpulse:

Battleship: A classic board game that both kids and adults in America have literally been playing for decades! With that said, with a string of remakes and big screen adaptions to earlier films and other marketing lines, (i,e. The ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ remake, as a good example of a remake,) and (G.I.Joe: Rise Of The Cobra being a good example of a movie version of toy lines.)

With that said, we have come to discover that there is yet another Big screen movie that is being made based on a Toy… This movie is (drum role please….) is Battleship.

This movie which is based on the classic board game will be directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights), and which stars, Liam Neeson (A Child’s Garden Of Pottery), Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights) and Brooklyn Decker (Just Go With It).

This movie which will tell the story of a fleet of ships that is going to have to go to battle with an armada of unknown origins is currently in post-production, gearing up for its (2012) release…

With that said, till then, thanks to Starpulse: we were able to get a trailer for the movie that I thought that you guys might find to be rather interesting.

So please enjoy this trailer for the upcoming movie, Battleship:
