The people that brought you A Nightmare on Elm Street and the latest in The Friday the 13th Franchise have a director for its new magician comedy Burt Wonderstone, according to The Hollywood Reporter:
The movie which had originally been written by Chad Kultgen, and is currently being produced by Chris Bender and J.C. Spink and others. The movie is set in the world of rival Vegas magicians. Carell is a more traditional magician who is dethroned by a younger illusionist and must find a way to rediscover his love for magic.
Emmy award winning director Charles McDougall who will be directing the piece, who is repped by WME, and worked with Carell as a director on several episodes of The Office has also helmed episodes of Parks and Recreation, The Tudors and Sex and the City.
