Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino Purchases the New Beverly Theater

by  |  December 8th, 2010  |  News

Curbed LA reports that the iconic Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction director has bought the New Beverly Cinema.

Quentin Tarantino started paying the theater’s expenses when it fell into hardship  a few years ago and has since finalized the deal to take over as owner.

The 200 seat Fairfax District theater has shown second-run double features since 1978 (before that it was, appropriately, a grindhouse with live nude dancers, although it was built in 1929 and once showed first-run movies).
