If you are in the modern generation… Then the chances are you have not really dived in to the classic Sci-fi movies of the 1970s on back… That is a shame!
Yeah, it is true, some Sci-fi movies from back then are cheesy as hell… That is why we love them! There are some movies that are completely amazing… Again, that is why we love them!
A few great examples of this era in science fiction films are: Superman (1978), and Star Wars (1977)! These films generally are some great examples of some awesome A list level science fiction on screen! But for this one, I would like to talk to you guiys today about, ‘B’ Science Fiction!
I mean alot of people didn’t give these movies the credit that they deserved back in the 1970s, and have been all but forgotten at this point… But these movies are great!
Generally speaking, they have a great cast of eventual A-list talent that really became the, ‘It’ group of actors and actresses in the 80s, 90s and even 2000s!
Such talent as: Sylvester Stallone (First Blood), who was in Roger Cormans, Death Race 2000 (1975), and Michael York (Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery), who was in a classic B movie that I recently got, and can’t wait to check out, Logan’s Run (1976)!
They often times have overlooked stories that are usually surprisingly keeping you engaged and on the edge of your seat!
And the special effects, and the sometimes bad writting… Honestly I some times wonder if perhaps this was done intentionally badly, because they actually compliment the cheesy awesomeness of the B movie experience!
So if you are new to Sci-fi movies… Check out what B Sci-fi movies are out there, I think you might find yourself quite surprised at what you are going to find!
