Alfred Hitchcock was definitely a brilliant director who really set the bar for both the horror and thriller genre’s that continues to this day!

So I was watching the TV Show, ‘Bates Motel’ on TV recently, and it got me to thinking about Alfred Hitchcock and the truly prolific work that this amazing director has done, and so I got to thinking about some of his awesome thrillers that he has done, and thought you guys might enjoy these: 3 Alfred Hitchcock Thrillers That If You Haven’t Seen Yet, You Need To!

At 3: Psycho (1960)

Mother's home... And it looks like she wants to take a, 'stab' at getting to know her guest a little better!

Mother’s home… And it looks like she wants to take a, ‘stab’ at getting to know her guest a little better!

Ok, so this one maybe pretty obvious, considering it’s connection to the TV Show, ‘Bates Motel’… But this is not just one of Alfred Hitchcock’s best horror/thriller movies of all time… But this movie, which actually tells the story of when a woman goes missing near a small California town, her sister and her boyfriend investigate… And find something that would change their lives, and the lives of everyone around them!

Now for those of you who don’t know the connection point… ‘Bates Motel’ is a small screen adaption of the movie/novel that it came from… And the truth is, is what is great about this film, is the special effects (For the 1960s, they were truly spectacular!) The cast, including: Anthony Perkins (Edge Of Sanity) & Janet Leigh (The Fog) as well as a bunch of other great amazing actors from that era! And finally, the story… Now the story, which I mentioned above is not only amazing, but is actually based on a book by, ‘Robert Bloch’, who based this novel on a true crime story that had been going on around that time.

For more information on this movie, please enjoy the trailer for this movie!

2: Rear Window (1954)

This movie is still brilliant despite being over 60 years old!

This movie is still brilliant despite being over 60 years old!

Now this one is a little less well know, but is still one of those, ‘d’uh’ moments, you see, this movie is one of those really famous ones, but is not one that people always associate with Alfred Hitchcock… Of course it is also not entirely uncommon for even the most lamen to recognize this film either!

Anyway, this suspense filled story tells of how when a wheelchair bound photographer is looking out his window… He will see something that he was never meant to see!

And last. but certainly not least, at number 1: Vertigo (1958)

James Stewart and Kim Novak in this film are a perfect pair!

James Stewart and Kim Novak in this film are a perfect pair!

Now this movie is a personal fav… It is great, because it has a fantastic cast that includes: James Stewart (Anatomy of a Murder), Kim Novak (Picnic) and the story… Well let’s just put it this way… Watch this trailer, I think you are going to want to watch this movie right away after you see it!

There are a ton of other great movies this prolific director has done, but I hope that you guys found this list useful!
