Early poster art for The Lone Ranger set to be released in May 2013.
Johnny Depp re-teams with Pirates of the Caribbean’s producer Jerry Bruckeimer and director Gore Verbinski for Walt Disney Studios re-imagining of the western legend, ‘The Lone Ranger’.
The film, which hits theaters on May 31st, 2013, stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) and will kick off the summer blockbuster season. If Bruckheimer and Depp’s other Disney franchise ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ (which they are set to begin filming part 5 next year) is any indication, The Lone Ranger promises to be a Box Office success. And could potentially introduce a whole new franchise.
Also starring in The Lone Ranger will be Helana Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, James Badge Dale and Barry Pepper.
Both the trailer and poster hint to some awesome physical comedy from Johnny Depp’s incarnation of Tonto, the Lone Ranger’s faithful sidekick. Which come to think of it, you’re not exactly “Lone” if you have a sidekick. High-ho Silver and away!
