For 100 years The Beverly Hill Hotel has set the standard for luxury, comfort and class, becoming an important place in Hollywood history.
From politicians like John F. Kennedy to moguls like Howard Hughes, not to mention the movie stars, The Beverly Hills Hotel has a rich history. Elizabeth Taylor’s father even had an art gallery in the reception to greet guest when she was only a child herself. The guest list would be to many to mention, though John Lennon, Marilyn Manroe, Spencer Tracy, Charlie Chaplin, John Wayne would surely top that list.
On the weekend of June 15th 2012, The Beverly Hills Hotel will celebrate it’s centennial through a weekend of events:
On Friday June 15th at 7:30 pm
Legendary comedian, author, and TV star, Bill Cosby will host an evening of comedy and a live jazz performance. Tickets are $250.00
On Saturday June 16th at 7:30 pm
The Beverly Hills Hotel historian and author Robert S. Anderson will showcase the premiere of his exhibit “The Beverly Hills Hotel – The First 100 Years” with rare photos and other pop culture artifacts of the hotels history. Following that, director Brett Ratner (Tower Heist) will host a cocktail reception and dinner. And finally, the evening ends with a live performance for guests by multiple Grammy winning artist Mary J. Blige. Tickets are $500.00
On Sunday June 17th at 11:00 am
The celebration ends with a special brunch in the famed Polo Lounge hosted by silver screen icon and Oscar winning director Warren Beatty. Tickets are $250.00
