A possessed Regan MacNeil (Played by Linda Blair) in William Friedkin's adaption of William Peter Blatty's classic novel, 'The Exorcist'

The Exorcist is a series that has entertained audiences for decades, first as the novel by William Peter Blatty, then when William Friedkin (Sorcerer) adapted it for the big screen back in 1973, and all of the subsequent sequels and prequels that have come out since!

You would think that with Hollywood seemingly remaking everyone of the movies that has ever been made that The Exorcist would be getting the big screen remake treatment… Not this time!

According to, Shocktillyoudrop, instead of the big screen remake treatment that so many horror movies are getting these days, it looks like there is going to be a direct interpretation straight from the original novel, which will become a 10 part mini-series!

So far no networks have gotten involved with the project, it looks like Sean Durkin (Simon Killer) is set to pen the script, Roy Lee (The Grudge) will be working with Morgan Creek on the project!
