Jaws: The Ride will be going in to the annals of history on January 2nd, after terrifiying audiences for over 20 years...
Sadly according to Dread Central:
Jaws: The Ride. A theme park ride at Universal Studios in Orlando Florida, and which the ride being based on Steven Speilberg’s 1975 Horror/Thriller classic, and King Kong, another ride that is based on the classic Gorilla movie, a ride that is based in Universal Studios Hollywood.
Both of these rides have been staples of the Universal experience for literally decades now… Now unfortunately it looks like, Jaws: The Ride is going to be taken down and replaced with something, ‘bigger and better’.
Here is what their official Facebook page had to say: “We know you love JAWS! and we do too,” reads the website. ”It has been an amazing attraction and after terrorizing the waters of Amity here at Universal Orlando for 20 years, it’s a VERY important part of our history. So, we’ve got a couple things planned to ensure we always remember and honor it. We know it’s hard to say goodbye, but we can’t express how EXCITED we are about the new, innovative & amazing experience we’re going to be bringing you.”
Sadly it looks like the last time people are going to be able to enjoy this ride is going to be on January 2nd…
