Mostly these remake films seem to be more geared towards horror movies, with such films being remade as, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Halloween (2007) and The Last House On The Left (2009), to name a few…
It looks like the major studios are now branching out to cover the other genre’s as well, an example of this being the fact that we recently reported that the iconic 1984 film, Footloose is about to be re-made for a new generation.
With that said, I have recently discovered that another movie has come up for remake… This film being 1983′s WarGames.
Director Seth Gordon to direct the upcoming remake to the original 1983 classic, 'WarGames'
That’s right folks, according to Deadline:
MGM, who produced the original film is setting up to remake the movie for a new generation… So far there is not much information on the new story, but MGM has hired on Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) to do the remake.
